STL is hosting a meeting with the Belgian dance artist group KAIHO on the 11th of November at 16:00. KAIHO is part of the Moving Identities residency program. The meeting is FREE and will be held in english.
During the meeting you can expect a short insight into the thought and work processes of AVoid followed by an open conversation with some collective questions and feedback.
Marina Cherry, Brandon Lagaert and Sara Angelucci from the KAIHO group have spent the past two weeks working on the upcoming performance “AVoid”. The root of this project has found its similarities to the Japanese concept of hikikomori —the withdrawal into seclusion, a particular condition where people avoid social contact on an extreme level. AVoid is an interdisciplinary research project between acro-dance, contortion, contemporary dance and physical theatre.
